TONI & GUY

Mill+ director Ivo Sousa, as part of his dual directing

outfit Stef & Ivo, developed

and edited this experimental film in response to a

commission from Toni & Guy.

Mill+ director Ivo Sousa explains "we were

approached to developed a film '

which explored the themes of the dark and

iconic Oscar wilde's play 'Salomé'.

The aim was to develop an introduction film to a T

oni & Guy catwalk.

After receiving the visual research to the collection,

the video interpretation

was up for grabs, and we were fortunate to have

full freedom to develop our

response to the material.The heavy, carnal content

of the play inspired us to develop

a visual narrative which leant towards a fast

rhythmic edit cut, along with

deep reds in tonality and a soundtrack to match.'

The result is a video as electric as it is sensual.
